When your last order arrived, we introduced you to Victor, one of our forest rangers in Guatemala. Victor looks after 600 hectares of community forest, which allows him to provide for his family whilst conserving their precious surroundings and sustainably making use of the natural resources provided by these surroundings.

Victor loves his work and finds it hugely motivating. Sometimes, the impact he makes is astonishing: A river runs through his community forest and since Victor and his children began managing the land, the water flow in the river has increased. Did you know that 1 acre of protected rainforest produces 76,000t of pure water, year after year?

Thanks to your subscription, Victor’s community can continue to nurture and conserve their precious area of the Caribbean. In Guatemala, there are now 328 protected areas, which represent 54% of the country’s forested surface. According to Victor, protecting these forests with his family is his destiny. Because protecting forests means protecting water sources. Water sources are sources of life.
Thank you again for continuing to protect our planet’s sources of life.
