It’s been a few days since you signed up for your subscription and your first delivery has now hopefully arrived safely at your home. We wanted to take a moment to say hi and let you know how delighted we are to have you on board. When you joined, you probably saw us mention how you being part of our family would make a big difference. Well, we would now like to show you exactly what an impact you have already made.
Not only are the items you received made from plant-based, sustainable materials, but every Pound you have spent with us has contributed to the purchase of land through the World Land Trust. Together, we have already purchased land in Kenya, Zambia, Argentina, Ecuador, Mexico, Belize and Guatemala. Every acre we purchase together will be permanently protected, nurtured and managed to create a safe home for some of the world’s most endangered animals. Did you know that more than half of the world's estimated 10 million species of plants, animals and insects live in the tropical rainforests?
In Guatemala, we have been working with local partners, creating forestry management and inventory plans. A core part of our efforts is the integration and protection of local communities. Local people are encouraged to look after their forests so that they can benefit from their resources without harming nature. Your orders are also ensuring that locals passionate about conservation are employed to manage and protect their local forests while receiving financial incentives. A team of forest rangers now monitors the wildlife, keeping threats from illegal loggers, poachers and cattle at bay. Their salary allows them to support their families, secure their children’s education and have a fulfilling career whilst protecting their forests and therefore providing their people with clean air and pure water.
Thank you so much for joining us on this journey. As your orders arrive, we will continue to update you on the impact you are making along the way.
